We have only 10 days until we leave California. We have enjoyed almost two months of family and friends. It has been a frenetic time, but very rewarding, seeing grandchildren, children and their spouses, siblings and Judee’s mother. We loved exploring our area by bicycle, bus and train. We put in more than 450 miles between the sea and inland hills. We found off-road trails that had no traffic or homes, just wild life and open spaces! The roads around our complex are marked with bike lanes, so we shop, go to the library, post office, and local restaurants on bike. We are also surrounded by several parks that make a great place to take the grandchildren. Our plans to possibly sell the condo have been dashed. We really like our area and think it might be absolutely perfect for retirement from our travels

Co-Motion has been our constant phone companion as we discuss the repairs to Bici. It was determined that Bici could not be re-aligned and our bike frame needed to be replaced. So we will be building Bici II in Bangkok with some new and some old parts.
In trying to replace Judee’s favorite Tailbones seat, we found that Serfas (the manufacturer) also made a number of other products we coveted. We were invited to visit the Serfas and “shop their showroom”. We came away with new comfort seats, gel gloves and gel handlebar tape with special gel inserts, plus an array of other products. Check out their web site: www.serfas.com for their line of wonderful bicycling products. We want to thank Serfas for their support of our adventure and know we will ride much easier on the Serfas saddles!
We leave for Hawaii, staying with Judee’s brother on Molokai for a week and then heading to the big Island of Hawaii’s Kona Coast to spend another week with Judee’s son, Phil, his wife, Tricia and our 3 year old grandson, Zack. After the Thanksgiving weekend, we will fly back to Bangkok to continue our journey through Asia.
